What to expect on Sunday Morning

We worship at 9:00 every Sunday. Your Church is a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, so make yourself at home. Each service is a little different and yet they have a familiar flavour. We try to make the familiar things feel new, and the new things feel familiar.

We also have a meeting on Sunday 11:00 AM every second and fourth Sundays of the month, called Lunch with Punch. We share a great meal while connecting with one another and having a healthy conversation about a passage of the Bible and what it may mean to each one of us. For us, the conversations are not meant to be the last word, but the beginning of new journeys as we explore the truth and how to live it out in our days. For more info about it, contact our minister at PabloN@nswact.uca.org.au

Here's a helpful list of what you can expect to experience when you visit on Sunday morning from when you pull into the parking lot, getting around the church, following along in worship, and the all-important coffee and chat after the service.

Parking

There is plenty of street parking right in front of the church over Cherry St and on the side road, Swift St.

Entrance

When you enter the church through the main entrance, you’ll enter the lobby area. there will b people there to greet you and offer you our newsletter to give you an idea of what is happening and how to keep in touch. You’ll see people milling about, and screens and signs with church news and information about  upcoming events and programs. Bathrooms are on the church hall next door.

Worship Services

Worship happens in the main sanctuary. Sit anywhere and feel free to bring your coffee with you. The ministers do. Our services include readings from the Bible and a message from our pastor. We have Communion every last Sunday. Everyone is welcome to receive Communion.

Everything you need to follow along with the worship services is projected on the large screens in the worship centre. All the parts of the service are clearly laid out and the pastors provide additional guidance and explanation throughout the service.

Sunday School

If your child will be coming to Sunday School for the first time, please contact our Pastor. He will make sure you find the right area and meet you there to welcome you and introduce you to the leaders. Sunday School takes place on the church hall and it includes games, Bible teaching relevant to their age and leads into morning tea. If you prefer to have your children with you at the worship centre, don't worry, we love having the children around, they are a joy to our congregation.

Music

At 9:00,we sing hymns, which are accompanied by  organ and piano; we are introducing contemporary songs as well, as we want to honour the tradition of the congregation but also bring new expressions of worship. The lyrics are shown on the screens so you won't feel lost. We hope you can recognise the tunes, they may even bring up some memories, and that you can enjoy this moment you own way.

After the service

We'd love you to stay around after the Sunday Service, share great coffee or tea, and chat with us. Our Pastor says that the sermon is not the end of the conversation but the beginning of a new one, so here is where the walk starts. If you're new to Church make yourself known to our welcomers (you would have seen them at the beginning of the service) and we would love to give you more information about our Church.
